We ask you kindly to read this Privacy Policy, which describes the ways in which we collect information about individuals’ personal data and how we keep and use them. We use for the website on https://clinam.org/ appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect the information collected through this website. Unfortunately, no organization can guarantee the absolute security of information, especially information transmitted over the internet.

Most of our offered services including the materials provided online for the Summit programmes do not require any form of registration and allow you  to visit our site without telling us who you are.

Some services such as registrations, applications, requesting of fellowship etc. may require that you  want to  provide us with personal data, which may include information such as your name, birth date, email address or telephone number. We may collect and use this Personal Data to provide you with information from our work, our summits as well as about the research activities at the CLINAM-Lab.  We may also communicate with you for notifications such as changes according circumstances, such as in these times changes of data and real life summits changed to virtual ones.

4. Voluntarily Provided Information
Registrations and specific inquiries on our website require personal data. If you choose to use them, they include surveys, registration, and content sharing features. We collect this information about you only if you voluntarily provide it to us. Please be aware that some features of this site may not be available to you if you elect not to provide certain personal data. Any personal data you provide to us on our websites will be used in accordance with this privacy notice.

5. Publicly Available Information
We may collect personal data that you made publicly available on public social media platforms (including blogs, forums etc.), related to CLINAM. We use your data to better understand how our key audience of all stakeholders in Nanomedicine and related fields act, to include their wishes and needs, and to know how they like our CLINAM-Summits to be. We also identify Bloggers with keen ideas to the subjects of CLINAM. We may contact them. This may include your personal information in form of comments, messages, blogs, photos and videos.

We limit personal information to the minimum necessary and do not keep it longer than necessary for the communication activity. If you want to limit who can see your information, we recommend that you use the privacy settings available to you on such platforms. If you share your personal information on a public social media platform such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, XING etc., we suggest that you voluntarily privacy policy of that specific platform since these platforms are not owned and managed by CLINAM.

6. To Whom We Disclose Your Information
We do not sell or transfer your personal data to any non-affiliated entity for their own direct marketing use, unless we provide clear notice to you and obtain your explicit consent. We use third party advertising companies to place ads on some websites. Our websites and online resources also collect other basic information about you which may not directly identify you, but which may correspond with you or a particular device you use. We use some of this information to allow our websites to run, as well as to learn more about how our websites and online resources are used and to otherwise improve and administer the site.

7. Data Sharing in Between of CLINAM Members
We may share your Personal Data with other CLINAM members and affiliates worldwide. We also may transfer personal data to third parties who act on our behalf and always carry the label CLINAM, for further processing in website, marketing, advertising, data management, and own media. Third parties have contracted with us to only use Personal Data for the agreed upon purpose, under no circumstances to sell personal data to third parties, and not to disclose it to third parties.

8. Data Management Abroad
Your personal data may also be processed, accessed, or stored in countries outside Switzerland. Such countries may offer a different level of protection of personal data. If we transfer your personal data to external CLINAM-related institutions and societies (e.g. European Society for Nanomedicine in Barcelona, Spain), we will make sure to protect your personal data by applying the level of protection required under applicable data privacy laws.

9. Storage of Personal Data
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected or to comply with legal or regulatory requirements. Our servers are located at Kreativ Media GmbH, Höschgasse 45, CH-8008 Zürich  mail@kreativmedia.ch. We have a contract with the company that guarantees to work in the confidentiality integrity and contractual availability of personal hosting data with appropriate technical and organizational measures. Kreativ Media GmbH signs on informing us immediately when there is knowledge of a data security breach that concerns personal data and will assist to corrective measures. Kreativ Media and we cooperate to protect the personal hosting data and assist to soften adverse consequences for the related persons. 

The following data are automatically included in raw logs which are used for analytics and within appropriate time erased •IP Address of the accessing device •Date of accessing the website •Accessed Uniform Resource Locator (URL), •Acces Status/ HTPP status code •Data Size during single access  • Identification of the Browser. Besides, at our own storage devices at our Headquarters we list presently more than 1000 speakers who presented in the CLINAM Summits. We do not make these data available to any other then to the working staff at our premises.

10. Server Provider’s Software
Kreativ Media Ltd. uses PLESK Software, developed by Plesk International GmbH, a subsidiary of WebPros Holdco B.V. (NL) and is a limited liability company under Swiss law, registered in Canton Schaffhausen. The software uses cookies and other, similar technologies to collect information about site use anonymously and reports website trends, without identifying individual visitors. 11. CLINAM on YouTube
Our website uses plugins from YouTube, which is operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. Here the YouTube server is informed about which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube allows you to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. YouTube is used to help make our website appealing. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. 12. Google Web Fonts
For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our plugin. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The internal transfer of data is governed in ethic codex principles within CLINAM intending to ensure the protection of personal data.
